4D ULTRASOUND IS NOW AVAILABLE IN THE SAGINAW VALLEY,
ONLY AT WOMEN’S OB-GYN, P.C.

We are pleased to announce our office is now providing real-time imaging 4D ultrasound services. We are the leaders in this advanced technology. As a matter of fact, our Saginaw location is the first in the Saginaw Valley to provide this service. We now have two G.E. Model E-8 ultrasounds in our Saginaw office.

Though available commercially since the 1960s, ultrasound was not widely accepted until the mid-1970s, when additional advances in technology would contribute to better image quality.

The latest advances in ultrasound are 3D and 4D imaging. This technology makes it easy for the patient to view inside her body. It is also very exciting for new parents to see their baby for the first time. To create 3D images, an ultrasound system renders multiple slices of a subject, for example, a baby, uterus or ovary. The system then reconstructs the image in three dimensions. This technique allows for:

• Surface evaluation
• Display of various planes
• Volume measurement

Judge for yourself the difference between the old 2D technology and the new technology. Compare the three photos below.

Real-time imaging is illustrated in the 4D fetal ultrasound shown below. It is easier to capture an image and view the baby, even with fetal movement.

Additionally, having three A.R.D.M.S. certified sonographers on staff further enhances the availability of our ultrasound services. The sonographers will, on many occasions, be able to give you the results of your scan while you are still in our office.

Our customized ultrasound packages are available to you today. Our sonographers will work with you to select your preferred images. The packages may include color images matted and framed, or a CD with image movement in Real-time.

Please note: Women interest in 4D ultrasound services must be under the care of a healthcare provider. These services are not intended to be a substitute for physical examination or further radiology or other testing. The optimal view via 4D scan may be of a certain part of the body such as a hand or foot and not necessarily of the baby’s face or head. Women's OB-GYN, P.C. is not responsible for inadvertently disclosing the baby’s gender during an ultrasound scan.
